Song Kang tells about Sweet Home 2 Nude Scenes and Plans for Military Service

Song Kang became a hot topic again after performing a scene that showed the back of his body without a single piece of cloth. He played this scene in his latest Korean drama, Sweet Home 2 (2023). Apart from that, recently, the actor also announced that he would be serving in the army.

1. Song Kang responds to naked scenes, just normal!

The character Cha Hyun Su (Song Kang) is a neohuman, aka a figure who is able to maintain his human side after undergoing a process of monsterization. Cha Hyun Su deliberately went to the Banseom research center with the aim of helping find a vaccine. He also knew the risks he would experience.

While being the object of research, Cha Hyun Su's character was often seen not wearing clothes. This of course leaves a lot of Song Kang's body exposed, including his private backside.

In contrast to Sweet Home 2 fans who were excited to see this scene, Song Kang responded casually in interviews he conducted with Korean media.

"I was naked a lot in Season 1, so I didn't feel pressured." he said as reported by News Nate.

Before shooting, Song Kang admitted that he had many discussions with the director regarding this naked scene. The director emphasized that this scene was necessary to show Cha Hyin Su's position as a research object for the military. Song Kang understood it and did it with enthusiasm.

"We had a lot of conversations and the director said that he (Cha Hyun Su) was not a human but an observational research object. So I thought, it was the right thing to take off Hyun Su's clothes, to observe every part of his body." he said.

3. Instead of being embarrassed, this scene actually makes Song Kang more confident

Song Kang said that he was actually shy. During this time he worked hard to be able to portray various characters in dramas while continuing to develop and put aside his shyness.

On the other hand, Song Kang also considers himself to be someone who likes adventure. He is always challenged to try new roles and finds it fun.

Meanwhile, for Cha Hyun Su's naked scene in Sweet Home 2, this 29 year old actor felt that this opportunity actually increased his confidence

“But after filming ended, I felt like my shyness was reduced a lot. So on the other hand, that's a good thing. In the next drama, there was a sentence that made me cringe. I used to be very shy, but now I feel more confident," he said.

4. Song Kang wants to take on a different role after military service

At the production presentation of the Korean drama Sweet Home 2, Song Kang announced that he would soon undergo military service. Some fans regret the timing, because he is currently at the peak of his career. When asked about this decision, Song Kang admitted that he had no regrets.

"I don't regret my choice and I don't regret it because I think I did my best at all times." he said.

Meanwhile, Song Kang also revealed that he wanted to try various new roles after military service. The actor chooses the role of a criminal or a soldier as his priority. Wow, interesting huh?
